"angryman" are simply without doubt the best up and coming acoustic rock band of the year. They have a unique and distinctive sound with a presence and style the like of which has never been seen or heard of before.

"angryman" are Scott Bingham (Lead Vocals & Guitar), Steve Bean (Lead Guitar), with recently joined members, Chris Allen (Bass Guitar) and Julian Stone (Drums and Percussion). All the band members are based in and around Peterborough.

"angryman" formed in 2004 and within a few months recorded an 8 track CD "Long Way". In the summer of 2007 they recorded and released their second album a 12 track CD named "Better Life".

The year 2007 had been horrific for the band with the untimely and sad death of their close friend and percussionist Mark Randall. Mark lost his long battle with cancer at the young age of 34. "Better Life" is the last work and recording of Mark with his creative percussion skills.

"angryman" had lost their way until a chance meeting with Chris Allen, lead to him being invited to play bass with the band. Chris, once teamed up with Scott and Steve, suggested they listen to a drummer he knew who was currently playing as a session musician and was receiving critical acclaim for his modern rock and blues style of drumming along with his various percussion skills. Julian was keen to attend a jamming session with the band and was taken with the enthusiasm of "angryman" and became a permanent fixture shortly after. With the line up complete once more "angryman" are growing in popularity with their music changing and evolving, with the new songs that Scott is writing along with the input of the other three band members.

Scott Bingham is one of the most down to earth musicians you are ever likely to meet. When asked what influences his unique writing style, he modestly states that “I write about everyday life, the normal day to day stuff”. His lyrics take you on a mystical and involving journey that captivates you with each and every track.

"angryman" are now ready to take on the world and are looking to play gigs further afield from their hometown of Peterborough, where they have a huge fan base. They have already taken their talents and skills to London and are setting their sights higher than ever before. Audiences are transfixed at their gigs and from the very first song the band always receive huge applause and appreciation wherever they play.
At every gig the band sell numerous CD’s, with most buyers purchasing both "Long Way" and "Better Life".

Acoustic Rock Forever

THE KEY TO
ART AND SOUL

Last night we played at The Key Theatre in Peterborogh the evening was called The Key to Art and Soul which was a benefit show for the Thorpe Hall Hospice, A fantastic cause thats very close to the collectitive hearts of angryman.

The show it's self was great fun and the crowd really made it special for us by paying very close attention and showing the love through their applause.

We video'd the whole show and they should be online in the coming weeks.

So for now it's off to Casa Mia in Southwold

Time to get angry.

Up To Date In 2008

A new year and a fresh start for the band, Whilst we can't forget the past we look to the future.

As you may have read in November 2007 Julian Stone and Chris Allen joined the band playing Percussion and Bass guitar and bring their own style and a new edge to the angryman sound.

Yes that is a correct spelling angryman as opposed to Angry Man, The band have decided to loose the space and capitals for a more 2008 feel.

So far this year the band has played in Camden (London),Nottinhgam,Cambridge and of course good old Peterborough.

We have recently been into the studio to put down 2 new songs Distant Shore and Dream As Children and in June we will be making a promotional video to be part of an angryman package.

Sorry for the recent lack of gig dates and band information but thats all soon to change.

Have you bought Better Life Yet ?

If not, Why not ?

2007 Mark Randall

On Saturday 17th February 2007 our deer friend and percussionist Mark J Randall lost his life to cancer. Mark was 34.

Mark was an extraordinary person with an incredibly calm and collected presence who genuinely cared for those around him and the world we live in such a selfless way.

Mark had a great warmth about him and an amazing ability to make you feel at ease which was evident in the way most children would take an instant shine to him. He was also a great listener and had a certain wisdom that you respected and trusted. His sense of humor was warm and slight and he kept this with him in his final days.

As well as being a keen musician playing with many different outfits covering a multitude of styles such as Jazz, latin, Soul, Irish, Folk and Acoustic, he was also a keen promoter of music. He was responsible for the Peterborough Folk Festival which ran until 2001 and spent much of his time organizing gig's in the city so to promote the local talent and also to bring new music to us all. He definitely prided himself in providing the city with an act that was fresh, or a little different from what people where used to seeing so that we might all share in his pleasure of a new experience.

Mark had a very natural musical talent and loved nothing more than jamming out a new song so that he could create his sometimes complex off-beat rhythms and add a unique layer to our sound that only Mark could dream up.

Words cannot carry the weight of or loss but he remains in our hearts and minds always.
